Some facts about the birthplace of our Renaissance man: As you already know it is still a small village in the region of Florence. However, it is very crowd during the year. More of less 500.000 visitors a year draws the popular Italian village for sightseeing by holiday makers. You know, there is a castle, which was built by Conti Guidi. And more interesting, the travellers visit the Vinci 's Museum of Leonardo They have a splendid collection of e.g. machines like the flying machine. A couple of years ago (in 2002 and in 2004) I was in the neighbourhood of the famous village and I did not go to the museum. It is a ‘shame’ as an admirer of our genius man, I know. I have promised myself to go back, because it is great pleasure to see his inventions. Several of them I have already watched in Amboise
