Vinci, a small paradise to become born as Leonardo did.
An ordinary summer evening in
Vinci
: A glance of the evening sun glows over the countryside. A colour palette, uncommon for my Dutch eyes, creates an enchanting beautiful view over the sloping landscape. A mixture of grey, brown, red and dark yellow does desire me to live the famous
artist ’s lifestyle
in the beautiful
Tuscany.
Some facts about the birthplace of our
Renaissance
man: As you already know it is still a small village in the region of Florence. However, it is very crowd during the year. More of less 500.000 visitors a year draws the popular Italian village for sightseeing by holiday makers.
You know, there is a castle, which was built by Conti Guidi.
And more interesting, the travellers visit the
Vinci 's Museum of Leonardo
They have a splendid collection of e.g. machines like the flying machine.
A couple of years ago (in 2002 and in 2004) I was in the neighbourhood of the famous village and I did not go to the museum. It is a ‘shame’ as an admirer of our genius man, I know. I have promised myself to go back, because it is great pleasure to see his inventions. Several of them I have already watched in Amboise
Amboise
, France; the place where daVinci spent his last years before he died in 1519. It was amazing !!!!
