Jul 12, 2008, Why da Vinci studied Anatomy?

Leonardo da Vinci made a prescription for a healthy living, as you could read in my former blog. He was focussed on health and he became 67 years old, which is ~90 years in present time. Diet, daily exercises, emotional management were very important for him. He was searching for an answer why people become older and one of his thoughts was to find an anti-aging solution. This is one of his reasons to study Anatomy. Another reason is that he believed the beauty of a person could not be painted without knowledge of the body language and the Anatomy. “Beauty flows away when the body does not support it.” (note: physically and emotionally)

The same observation were made by others ages later. One great example is Anne Seidel. She has developed Ismakogie. Before that she has noticed women could use make-up, go to the hair-dresser, buy expensive beauty pills, however, if there body posture or condition were poor, than the beauty flows away. Therefore, she started to study intensively Anatomy. Finally, she developed a doctrine of movement which is meant as an aid for our everyday activities. She did a marvellous job as da Vinci did too !!

How to become a daVinci-an is a daily question to me to be deeply aware of my own healthy life and wellness. Nowadays it is a world topic : health and wellness; for the poor and the rich people, so nothing to do with money.

It seems we have not learn that much of our past, because Leonardo da Vinci already prescribed a guide to healthy living (500 years ago!!!) which is not that different of present lifestyle consultants.

Here is Leonardo's prescription:

* Do not eat when you have no appetite, and dine lightly,

* Chew well, and whatever you take into you

* Should be well-cooked and of simple ingredients

* He who takes medicine is ill advised.

* Beware anger and avoid stuffy air.

* Stay standing a while when you get up from a meal.

* Make sure you do not sleep at midday.

* Let your wine be mixed with water, take little and often,

* Not between meals, not on an empty stomach.

* Neither delay nor prolong your visit to the toilet.

* If you take exercise, let it not be too strenuous.

* Do not lie with your stomach upward and your head Downward. Be well covered at night,

* And rest your head and keep your mind cheerful.

* Avoid wantonness and keep to this diet.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a blog article about : To HAVE you should DO by BE-ing. The Law of Attraction, on which The Secret is based, is supporting this belief.

Sometimes it is very though to go on. You feel frustrated or angry, because life does not show up as you would expected. What to do if you have not received yet what you really wanted? Well, it is so simple that you almost forget it: Be really yourself !!! It supports you if you live at the moment. Do not think about the past or do not think about the future. Think only about the PRESENT time.

It helps a lot, meanwhile your confidence level increases and your satisfaction level becomes higher.
